Guineafowl

As the name implies, guineafowls come from Africa. They are mainly raised freely in the savannah. They organize themselves in flocks (guardian Guinea fowls watch the nests during the egg-laying season) and perch on trees or purpose-built places. They live about 8 years and don't breed in captivity, artificial insemination is required to obtain fertilized eggs.
